In the Philippines came up with their own type of transport. Self-made wooden cart is a common thing here. The fare is very cheap – 20 cents. Usually such carts are pushed by local guys. This is their only chance to make some money.
“I do this because this gives us money that’s easy to earn. It’s better than stealing from others. This is the only kind of job available here. Others have turned to stealing”, – said one of the local guys.
This type of transport is very dangerous. Carts are pushed along existing rail tracks.
“Of course we get scared of the trains, that’s why whenever we’re pushing these trolleys, we always look behind our backs so we can see if there’s a train coming”, – they explained.
There has not been a single recorded accident on these carts.
