The Justice department on Wednesday unsealed criminal charges against a former U.S. Air Force counter intelligence officer who defected to Iran five years ago and is accused of revealing highly classified information to the Iranian government, VOA News reports.
Officials say the former officer allegedly shared information that could cause “serious damage” to national security.
